Jordan Inverarity

3rd Year Manufacturing Engineering

"Hey! I'm a third year Manufacturing engineering student and the co-lead of Structures! I work primarily on our composite chassis with a group of amazingly talented peers! I love Solar as it is a chance to apply the principles I learn in school in a real life, hands on way."

What does Structures do?

What does
Structures do?

The Structures team is responsible for vehicle structures. The team deals with vehicle form, crash safety, component placement, and validates designs using complex FEA to simulate a variety of vehicle conditions and crashes. Understanding of static mechanics is a necessity while minimizing vehicle weight, profile/size, and finding the critical balance between ergonomic efficiency and structural triangulation.
